So I had a long talk with our apartment manager.
Without going into detail here is what is happening:
We got a brand new AC unit installed today and next month we are receiving a $200 rebate towards rent.
So remember kids............ sometimes it pays to complain.
Just be nice about it.

This is the magical thing about living in an apartment: When something breaks, it's not your fault! Someone else pays for it!
Nice is the way to go. You could actually know that person you are complaining to from church. Maybe her husband plays in a band with one of your family members. It makes one wish she/he had taken the attitude out of her/his voice. It's a small world we live in.

Dude, the same thing happened to us! but it was only 5 days without A/C. Still, I was frustrated, but we got a brand new unit, and all is well now. No discount on rent, but we also didn't have it as bad as you.
I TOTALLY empathize. :)
